Kind of a late Halloween pic. I wanted to do a werewolf so here's a quick sketch.

Everyone has one of those stories about weird or unexpected happenings. I've never seen a werewolf, although I've known a few people who swear up and down that they've seen something like it. I had a friend in high school tell me she was driving home with a friend very late at night - her friend said she saw it, too - when a large wolf-like creature ran in front of them. They nearly hit it. She described it as having a thick body, long thick, dark-colored fur, a high, hunched back, and hind legs that were much longer than it's forelegs so that it looked kind of awkward when it was running on all fours. It had pointed ears, but she couldn't make out much more of the face as it happened so quickly. I suggested that it perhaps was a bear, but from her description it would have possibly been a grizzly bear or boar, which I'm pretty sure we don't have in Virginia. That, and bears have forelegs longer than their hind. She said it reminded her of some kind of monkey, but it had a short tail like a dog's.

Virginia is a hot spot for paranormal activity. It's a very old state with a lot of history. I grew up seeing UFOs on a regular basis and a feeling of what I can only describe as 'magic' in the woods. Sometimes it felt very intense and bad, others it was intense, but very comforting, depending on where you went.
